Inverewe Gardens
Cared for by the National Trust for Scotland, discover a world of botanicals in the award-winning 50 acres of Inverewe Gardens. Created by Osgood Mackenzie in 1862, the gardens are quite exceptional as their location enables them to benefit from a mild climate all year round due to the warming effect of the Gulf Stream. As a result, a surprising range of exotic plants grow there, as well as temperate flora from the North and South Hemispheres. The garden is a riot of colour from spring through to late autumn and is known for its displays of rhododendrons, it’s exquisite Walled Garden and lush woodland trails. Inverewe House opened to the public in 2016 after a two-million-pound restoration by the National Trust. Here you explore the history of the garden, discover the origins of the plants and the challenges of gardening on the edge.

Corrieshalloch Gorge
This plunging box canyon, through which the River Droma rushes, is one of the natural wonders of the Scottish Highlands. Follow the pleasant woodland trails, cross the Victorian suspension bridge over the tree-lined gorge, and look down on the torrent of water crashing 45m over the Falls of Measach.

Leckmelm Shrubbery and Arboretum
From Corrieshalloch Gorge we take the scenic route to Leckmelm Gardens. These gardens are a hidden gem that will captivate any nature lover. This restored Victorian Arboretum offers a tranquil escape, with its towering trees, vibrant shrubs, and breathtaking views of Loch Broom. The arboretum, planted in the 1870s, is full of splendid and rare trees, species rhododendrons, azaleas and shrubs. Warmed by the Gulf Stream, this tranquil woodland setting has an alpine garden and paths which lead down to the shore of the Loch. From here we will take a leisurely drive back to your pickup point enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Highlands.
